The Beach Club at the Ritz Carlton
White sand beaches with lush sun chairs, umbrellas and an attendant ready to bring you anything your heart desires. Sounds like a dream but it’s reality when you visit the Ritz Carlton Resort and Spa in Sarasota, Florida.
Day 1: Your three day weekend getaway begins when you fly into beautiful Tampa Bay, Florida. The crystal blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico will be your view as you make the 45 minute drive from Tampa International Airport to the resort.
Upon your arrival, you will be greeted with the signature scent of fresh flowers that fills the lobby. Stop into Jack Dusty’s for a cocktail overlooking the marina before heading up to your luxurious room.
The rooms have been newly renovated and offer a modern take on a traditional beach vacation. Relax and unwind before getting ready to experience Sarasota’s nightlife.
When you’re ready for the evening you can walk out of the resort, cross the street and you’ll be in the heart of downtown Sarasota. There are many quaint bars to grab a drink before or after dinner. Enjoy a lovely evening in the picturesque downtown then return to Jack Dusty’s for a nightcap before heading up to your room for some well-deserved R&R!
Day 2: Whether you’re an early riser or you prefer to sleep well past breakfast, when you open the drapes you’ll be greeted by sunny skies and a beautiful view.
Make your reservation for the spa on Day 3 and perhaps a dinner reservation at St. Armands Circle.
Pack your beach bag and bring along your walking shoes as you board the resort limo bus for the short ride to St. Armands Circle and the Beach Club.
Enjoy lunch at one of the dozens of great restaurants with beautiful outdoor seating in the middle of the action. Then, walk around the many upscale shops before heading over to the Beach Club.
The Beach Club is the Ritz Carlton’s pool and restaurant on the beach. The resort is located at the marina. Reserve sun chairs in the sand or opt for poolside as you relax and enjoy the sound of the waves crashing onto the white sand beach. It really doesn’t get any better than this!
The Tiki Bar is famous for tropical cocktails and great beach music in the afternoons and it’s part of the resort.
Use the locker rooms to clean up for dinner or head back to the resort to get ready to spend the evening at St. Armands. From Tommy Bahama’s restaurant to the famous Columbia there are lots of options for a great dinner.
Day 3: After a day in the sun it’s time for some rejuvenation! Enjoy your spa experience as you relax for one more day before heading back to the real world. The tranquil environment and expert therapists will have you begging for more.
If you have to catch your flight you’ll be heading to the airport or if you are staying for one more night and leaving first thing in the morning you can always relax at the full service pool at the resort. It overlooks the marina and is a great way to savor your last moments of vacation.
This itinerary nearly guarantees you will go home with a tan that will make everyone at work green with envy! It also allows for plenty of romantic moments with your significant other where you can reconnect in a relaxing environment that’s typically only a non-stop flight from home.
